Flexibility is the rule in this department.
Our technicians are capable of making last
minute changes to customer documents,
scanning and placing high-resolution images
into files, making high quality digital color
proofs, generating major overhauls or new
creations with our in-house design staff.
Our pre-press staff is always ready to help
customers with any application or file problem
that arises.
Tips
for Bringing Files to Print:
PDFs
(Acrobat)
- We
prefer a high resolution, print optimized
PDF file. The file should include crop
marks,
offset .25” and centered. Your
bleeds should be extended in your native
files and set to .125" when exporting
your PDF. Each file should be set up
as individual pages
or one-up.
- Please
provide current final printouts for each
page at 100%.
Native
Files (ONLY PDFS)
- We no longer
accept native files. Please only send high
resolution PDFs. We can make minor edits
to most PDF files so any major renovations
must be provided by you or your graphic
artist. If you want us to edit your file,
there will be an additional charge.
Email
of FTP
- For your convenience you can Email or FTP the
files directly to our prepress department.
When FTPing a file, we require you fill out our online form so
we are immediately notified
that the job has been uploaded.

PDF Proofs
Upon
request, we can provide online pdf proofs
be emailed to you. However, Online
proofs do not represent the final printed
color,
folds or bleeds. Online PDF proofs
are seen by the customer on a computer monitor
using
a color process called RGB. RGB color may
look good on a computer screen,
but in certain instances very different color
results may occur in the offset printing
process. Full color printing by Beechler's
Printing is done
on offset printing presses using the four different
color process inks (known as CMYK).
As a result, Beechler's Printing makes
no warrantee that the color and image
quality represented on a customer’s
computer monitor, ink jet or laser color
printout from a PDF online proof will approximate
the
finished piece printed via the CMYK process.
If you would like, we will be happy to provide
you a Print Proof and an Inposition Proof to
show you the correct color, folds, bleeds,
etc. (not provided with an on-line PDF proof)
for your approval.
Direct
to Plate
We
are 'direct to plate' meaning we do not
create film from your files, but rather
we image directly onto the plates our presses
are going to use to print your job. The
results are
higher quality
quicker turn around times
File
Storage
We
will keep your files for up to one year in our archives. Due to
the nature of digital media, you should always keep a copy of the
original files to avoid possible problems with corruption while
retrieving your data.
